Correcting argument maps with the Reason Rule is something you’ll do a lot, and you’ll want to teach your students to do it themselves. The result will be persuasive, clear, and well-organized arguments!
If you can get your students even slightly more in the habit of simply asking “why should I believe this?” when evaluating information, engaging in discussions, or writing essays, that’s a huge step! This basic habit is at the core of all good critical thinking.
